Benett (13, Berhida)

Thanks to our supporters, we could manage to get a lifetime experience for two more 'Magic Land children'.

Even though Benett and Csilla did not know each other before, they were still connected by many things. They both wanted to swim in the sea, and also see the famous Siam water park and the even more famous Loro Parque fantastic zoo.

From this "equation" it followed that they had to travel to Tenerife, as the two parks are located here and the coast of the island is washed by the Atlantic Ocean. In addition, the beach sand here is dark gray, almost black, because the island is of volcanic origin and the coastal sand is made of volcanic ash, slag, and lava eroded by wind and water.

We met the children and their parents, Róbert and Csilla, at Liszt Ferenc Airport on the day of departure. After a quick acquaintance, we checked in our luggage with the guidance of a Wizz Air employee. None of our fellow travelers had flown before, everything was new to them, from the security check to the tempting shops in the terminal, not to mention the world of the cockpit that is closed to other passengers.

The six-hour flight seemed to be long, but the Wizzair colleagues pampered us the whole way, so the time flew quickly. After landing, the sight of palm trees and cacti swept away the fatigue. We barely booked our rooms at the Palm Beach Club Hotel, Csilla and Benett had to see the sea up close. The next day, of course, the children got to know the 22-degree water of the Atlantic Ocean with the grayish sand, which proved to be very sticky even after swimming...

On Tuesday morning, we got into the rented car and headed to Loro park. This was a full-day program, considering that we had to drive a good 80 kilometers to get there, a significant part through serious serpentines and small villages, because the park is on the other, northern, greener, more humide side of the island.

What can be seen there? Dolphin show, seal show, orca show, parrot show, to mention only the biggest attractions, but there is a real canopy walk with colorful parrots flying freely, tropical jungle, leopard, chimpanzee and gorilla, cactus forest, penguins and puffins in an "aquarium" with arctic darkness and in another corals, with lots and lots of clown fishes…

Of course, we saw all the main attractions and we were lucky because the orcas didn't splash us. The dolphins were fantastically clever and smart, and so were the seals.
It was a gorgeous day, it passed quickly.

On Wednesday, splashing again, sunbathing, shopping, relaxing, and gathering strength for Siam Park. We originally planned a trip to the 3,700 m El Teide volcano in the middle of the island, but the sea and the sun proved more tempting.

The water park came on Thursday. It was a few hundred meters from our hotel, so we walked. Unfortunately, the crowd here was very large, you had to wait at every slide, but it was still a special experience with the alarmingly steep and long slides of the park.

On Friday morning, we had a quick look at a fantastic banana plantation, then dropped off the rental car and flew home. On the way there, Benett's dad was amazed at how uneventful the flight was, but on the way back we flew through a storm zone and the air turned out to be quite bumpy, not to mention the lightning bolts flapping outside.

Csilla and Benett both said that this trip was the most beautiful and perhaps one of the most lasting experiences of their lives. They did not even believe that their desire could come true.

And even after 20 years we still believe, we know that there are miracles and they heal!

On behalf of Benett, we would like to thank our supporters, Wizz Air Hungary Zrt., TV2 Média Csoport Zrt., DM Kft., a Penny Market Kft., as well as our private sponsors, for being able to fulfill this special wish.
