Ákos lives in Ózd but he is cured in the GYEK (Pediatric Center) in Miskolc. He likes to be out in the nature to admire the beauty of the forest and fields.
Ákos wasn’t thinking too much about what to ask from the Magic Lamp, his choice was a camera.
Ákos is a quiet, nice boy. He had been patiently waiting until he got the long-awaited gift from the Gini of the Magic Lamp.
Receiving the camera was an unexpected but a big joy for him.
Dear Ákos,
We wish you much joy in photography, take many beautiful photos by this super camera.

Krisztián (14 years old, Tiszafüred)
Krisztián is a 14-year old boy and came for a medical check when I had the opportunity to give him the gift on behalf of the Magic Lamp. He desired a phone...
Krisztián was so surprised and his parents were so touched that suddenly none of them could utter a single word. They wouldn’t have thought, thet the wish would be so quickly fulfilled.
Krisztián took the phone in his hands and began to talk about his weekend program, that he would go fishing, he would take his new phone along and he would take pictures. He is looking forward to going to the beach and to shoot underwater photos...
We wish you Krisztián that all your dreams come true, enjoy your phone, and take lots of nice photos!

Kitti (17 years old, Nádudvar)
Kitti has been playing the flute for 10 years, a flute lent her by her school.
Her playing is gorgeous, and it would be even more beautiful, if she could play her own flute... So it was not a big surprise that she asked for a new flute, which could be all hers.
We talked to Ms. Judit Gruger (her teacher) about what would be the perfect kind of flute for Kitti, and in the end, we choose a silver head, closed „Trevor-James Cantabile" flute.
Her teacher also helped us to purchase it. She put us in touch with the Fontrade Music shop. With their kind assistance we could buy the flute easily and quickly.
Then... they say there are no miracles.
Around the time we got Kitti’s wish, we had an incoming email from the popular flutist, Mr. Márk Fülep. He wanted to offer his help and talent to teach the "magic lamp" children to play flute or other instruments.
We took advantage of the opportunity and asked him to be a "surprise" to Kitti, in order to make the wish granting an even more memorable moment for her.
Mr. Fülep was happy to grant our request. He talked to Kitti and her teacher on phone, and they agreed to make a mini-concert together - all this without telling Kitti, that she will get an own flute....
The wish-granting took place at the Corinthia Hotel Budapest's charitable Sunday Brunch. This was reasonable, because Kitti's new flute was sponsored by the donations of hotel’s guests.
After Kitti and her family arrived, Kitti and Mr. Fülep practised a bit in the hotel's splendid ballroom. This was the very first time they have met...
The Sunday Brunch finally started, and about 120 guests came for the event.
On behalf of the Corinthia Hotel Budapest Mr. Imre Turák welcomed the guests and talked about the special relationship of Csodalámpa and the Corintha Hotel. Then he gave the word to Mrs. Eva Patzauer, who introduced the Csodalámpa Foundation with a few sentences.
Then at last the flute was handed over to Kitti...
Kitti couldn’t believe her eyes. She unpacked and put it together with shaking hands. She tried it, and it sounded gorgeous. Although Kitti could hardly utter a word from joy, one could see, that the flute and Kitti are still somehow "strangers" to each other, so on Mr. Fülep’s suggestion, she played the concert with her old flute. Mr. Fülep explained to the audience, why did he suggest this: a musician has to get used to his/her new instrument, and this can take weeks or months.
/ 11
The room had a great acoustic, the concert sounded perfect. Even in the other rooms the guests stopped talking and were listening to the beautiful music.
Kitti was a worthy partner for Mr. Fülep. They played two songs together, and Mr. Fülep played the last one in a solo. The concert was wonderful.
After the concert Mr. Fülep gave his own gifts - sheet music and his CD - to Kitti.
As an extra the hotel’s fantastic band played a song specially for Kitti and they were kind enough to offer their help to Csodalámpa children.
We hope that this flute will bring a lot of wonderful hours to Kitti, and we hope that it helps her to recover fully.

Ramóna (10 years old, Kisvarsány)
Ramona has been fighting against illness since the age of six. She asked for a pink laptop from the Magic Lamp, because pink is her favorite color. I often met her and her mother in the hospital, and Ramona always asked me, whether there were any news about the laptop, when it would arrive...
Today she came for a check again, but that time I could make her happy with the long-awaited gift. She was so excited, suddenly she didn’t know what to do, where to sit down. She could hardly believe that the gift arrived. While she was opening the box, she was telling: ”Please be pink, be pink” – and it pink it was!
The little girl was admiring the present for a few minutes, then she packed it back because the ambulance arrived to take her home.
Get well and play a lot with the new computer!

Alex Gábor (4 years old, Budapest)
There may be a handful of Mercedes G-Class AMG owners in Hungary, but for sure none of them have ever driven their SUV between the tables in Peppers Mediterranean Grill at Budapest Marriott Hotel. Except for Alex...
It all started with him asking Magic Lamp for an electric Mercedes G class toy car. Our long-time supporters Fundamenta Személyi Bankár and Budapest Marriott Hotel had to pool their resources to make this dream come true.
Alex received his gift during Magic Lamp's special charity 'Wish-kitchen' event, where the participants learn to prepare gourmet and simple everyday dishes from the best chefs in town. Hosted by Marriott Hotel, the invitees included the managers and other supporters workin for Fundamenta-Lakáskassza.
At first, Alex was somewhat taken aback, as he was not used to mingling in such a crowd and in such a setting. When the brand new car rolled in - yet remotely controlled - he remained "reserved". What happens now?!?
A few minutes had passed before Alex summoned the courage to step out from behind his father. He climbed into the toy car and listened attentively to the hotel's General Manager, Mr Rick Enders. who showed him how the G55 works. Then Alex stepped on the accelerator and off he went... only to bump into a table leg a minute into his maiden cruise. Luckily, no damage was done.
/ 6
Then, aided by his father and Mr Enders, the already cheerful and relaxed Alex drove a few laps around the tables as the 'Wish-Kitchen' programme got underway and the crowd disappeared.
At the close of the event, Alex carefully pocketed the car's keys and was all smiles as he said good-bye to his hosts.

Olivér (6 years old, Gellénháza)
Oliver has asked for an X BOX 360 and a car-racing game from Csodalámpa Foundation.
We arrived at the hospital at the end of his treatment so Oliver was able to move around freely in the hallways. He did not know about our visit so it was a total surprise that we were there to give him the gift box. He started to open the package with great anticipation…
When Oliver saw the X BOX package, he started jumping thus expressing his joy and excitement. Other young patients in the hospital came to see about the sounds of joy they could hear. Oliver took out the gift of its box and he wrapped his arms around it.
"This will be my best toy and tomorrow, I will play with it the whole day" – said Oliver with a huge smile. We were talking for a long time and we learned that he bravely endured the treatments while always smiling and happy.
Later, he called his grandmother and he told her what an amazing, great gift he had received that day from the Csodalámpa Foundation.
It was truly great to see Oliver receiving his present with childlike joy.

Áron is a real sportsman, he does several sports as climbing but high cliffs were also conquered by him.
Nowadays, due to his illness he can not do sports regularly, and he also has to learn the school material as a private student. Therefore Áron asked for an Ipad Airs from the Magic Lamp Foundation, which can help him to get to know a lot of information and he can also keep in touch with his friends and school mates.
We were welcomed on the terrace of the hotel by Szilvia Németh and Ádám Honvéd, representatives of the Hilton Budapest City. While we were talking, Áron installed the machine confidently and we, the adults just wondered what a smart device it was. Time passed quickly and the teenage boy became very tired, so we said goodbye to him and let him go home to use his new Ipad conveniently at home.

Noémi (15 years old, Olasztelek-)
Our flight departed early Monday morning to take us to the place of our dreams: Rome.
After the pleasant flight we excitedly boarded the bus that took us to our hotel.
We were very pleased with the hotel, we had a beautiful room with a view of the swimming pool.
Our first day was fantastic. We visited many beautiful old buildings of the city, the Trevi Fountain, the Pantheon, and the Piazza Navona. The next day brought even more wonderful experiences. We saw the Colosseum, the Castle of the Holy Angel, and enjoyed a delicious dessert. On Wednesday we took the subway and a bus to go to Zoomarine, where the dolphins were waiting for us. As soon as we arrived, we were told all the important information about the dolphins. Then we had our picture taken with one of them and got them perform a trick for us. I chose Marco for my photo.
/ 5
Meeting these fantastic animals will remain a lifelong experience for me. We stayed at Zoomarine until late afternoon, so we had plenty of time to watch a dolphin show, see the penguins, seals, and try the many water slides. On Thursday we visited the Vatican Museums, the Saint Peter's Basilica, and the Sistine Chapel. After all these we still had time in the afternoon to do some shopping and try the real Italian pizza. On our last day we managed to squeeze in a little swimming in the pool of the hotel, then headed to the airport. When we got back home, we were sad to say good bye to each other, but we will always remember the beautiful experiences we shared.
I would like to say a huge thank you to Mr. Vilmos Benkő, our guide and chaperon on the trip for catering to our every whim and making this trip unforgettable for us. I would also like to thank the Magic Lamp Foundation for their tireless efforts, organizing this trip, and making our wish come true.

We met our fellow-passengers and our attendants in the early hours on August 10, 2015. We quickly talked throgh, what we would like to see in Rome.
Right after we landed, we went to the elegant Mariott Park Hotel. We were amazed by the hotel’s swimming pool and georgeous restaurant. And we admired our room, which contained two bathrooms...
Before we started discovering the city, we had a pizza for lunch in a real Italian restaurant.
It is almost unbelievable that we saw so many sights just on the first day. We saw the Spanish steps, the Trevi fountain, and the Angels bridge.
And of course, we had a lot to see on the other days as well. The Colosseum, the Vatican and the Saint Peter’s Basilica.
/ 6
One of the best experiences was the zoo and the aquapark, which were in the city’s neighborhood. We saw the dolphin show, we fed the animals, and we tried the water slides too.
On the last day before noon, we just relaxed in the pool.
We got home pleasantly tired and with lots of unforgettable experiences.
Thank to the supporters and to Vilmos Benkő volunteer for this extraordinary trip.

Richárd (3 years old, Budapest)
Ricsi loves dogs. Since there is room only for a small dog in his home, he wished for a male yorkie puppy. It was not not easy to grant the wish because the puppy had to fullfill many "requirements", but after a long search, and with the help of the Hungarian Yorkshire Terrier Association, we found Barbara Varga breader, and her lovely six-months old puppy, Carlos.
The wish was sponsored by the always generous Corinthia Hotel Budapest, which meant that Ricsi and his family were invited to the courtyard of the hotel for the big surprise.
Barbara Varga personally delivered the very cute puppy. We took care of the accessories so that the family does not have to wory about them. We bought a soft fluffy pillow, bowls, toys, and a carrier.
Ricsi was couriously looking at Carlos through the door of the carrier bag. At first Carlos was eying his new owner with a little apprehension, but soon they get to know each other and we could already see the beginning of a great friendship.
Barbara told every important information to Ricsi’s dad. And then there was only one thing left, take Carlos home and introduce him to the rest of the family.

We would like to thank also Hungarian Yorkshire Terrier Association, and Barbara Varga breader for their kind help in order to make Ricsi’s wish come true.

Fanni (9 years old, Mosonmagyaróvár)
Carlos Santana unfortunately hasn't given any concerts in Hungary for a few years now.
No wonder that we were very surprised when in January 2014, the then 7-year old Fanni asked us to organize a meeting with Carlos Santana!
So where did her idea come from? Fanni told us that her grandfather, whom she had only seen on video recordings, used to play the music of Santana, and since she never had a chance to meet him, at least she wanted to meet his favourite musician.
We at Magic Lamp live for these seemingly impossible wishes; thus we started to rack our brains how we could arrange the meeting of Fanni and this world-traveling artist.
Of course we told Fanni that it's going to take a lot of time and luck to make this wish come true. It could even take years, if Santana doesn't perform in Hungary or in a neighbouring country. But Fanni was holding on to her wish, saying that she was willing to wait patiently, as long as it takes.
After doing some research, we found out that Santana was actually booked to perform in Austria, in a town called Burg Clam. So okay, we can buy a ticket and take Fanni to the concert, but how were we going to organize the meeting?
It turned out that Mr. Santana has a foundation, The Milagro Foundation, which helps disadvantaged children in the fields of education, health-care, and arts.
So we wrote to this foundation, and explained to them who we are and what we do. Fanni also wrote a beautiful letter, explaining why she wanted to meet Mr Santana. The people at the foundation forwarded our letters to the concert tour manager, who sent them to the artist.
After exchanging many emails and making many phone calls, finally our little group, including us, Fanni, and her parents finally arrived to Burg Clam. Fanni and her parents were put up in a gorgeous few-hundred year old palace. With that another secret wish of Fanni had come true. Even the owner of the palace, count Clam came down to personally greet Fanni.
Mean as we are, we still didn't tell Fanni the real purpose of this trip. We only told her that we were going to the concert, where she could give her drawings to the manager, who will give them to Mr. Santana. In our defense, we have to note that Fanni's parents also participated in the conspiracy. However, they taught Fanni a few useful Spanish sentences. Just in case..
Finally the time of the concert had come. We were only told to that - as special guests - to be at the left side of the stage at 7:15 pm. There we were greeted by the chief of security, who escorted us backstage. In a few seconds Mr. Santana himself walked in.
/ 16
As they say, a picture is worth of thousand words. But the point is that Fanni was able to hand over her gifts, including a Gabor Szabó CD, to Mr. Santana in person. The artist thanked her for the gifts and wished her a fast recovery. As it turned out Fanni didn't learn the Spanish sentences in vain; she was able to wish Mr. Santana a happy birthday in Spanish.
But now it was Mr. Santana's turn to surprise all of us : he gave Fanni a PRS SE One Santana Abraxas White Wash guitar. He even signed the special instrument for Fanni.
The concert was to begin shortly, so it was time to take our leave. We gave Mr. Santana and the organizers our signature Magic Lamp gingerbread cookies, then said goodbye.
Fanni watched the two-hour long "Corazon Tourˇ concert from the best imaginable place: from a window of the palace.
We wish Fanni a speedy and complete recovery!

Dávid (12 years old, Budapest)
Dávid loves to ride his bicycle. He often goes on long rides with his father on the neighbouring hills and mountains. Unfortunately his old bicycle is unable to handle the heavy usage anymore. So David asked Magic Lamp for a brand new bicycle with a telescopic suspension.
Even though David still has many treatments ahead of him, from mid-summer he will be able to gradually increase the distance. As soon as he saw his new bike he looked at it from every angle, with a big smile on his face. Of course he wanted to try it out right away, so he took it out to the street and rode it for a little while.
Afterthat he proudly took it home. David has already started planning a longer trip with his father, now the only thing he needs is his doctor's approval.

Nikolett (16 years old, Gyula)
Although Niki is from Gyula, she spends her weekdays in Dunaujvaros, because she became a student at the Handball Academy there.
Since she spends her life in two distant towns, her wish was to get an iPhone, which could make it easier to stay in touch with her family and friends. As the long weekend was getting closer, we discussed with Krisztina Szoboszlaine Buvar, an associate of Invitel, to grant that wish as soon as possible. We visited Niki in her home at Gyula.
We were welcomed by quite a company, as Niki’s friend was also there to spend the weekend with the family. Her little brother accompanied us in the handover with a smile on his face.
Niki was really happy that her wish was granted so quickly, as this phone will make it much easier to stay in touch with her handball team when she is at home or at the clinic.
We were happy to make a wish come true for this adorable, smiling big girl.

Mátyás (7 years old, Isaszeg)
Already on our first meeting it became apparent that Matyi simply loves books, then later I also learned he reads them studiously as well – especially ones about cars.
He told me his favorite car brand was Ferrari and he has once seen an ad on TV about a huge Ferrari book he very much wanted to have, but cost so much that he’d have to keep putting money in his piggy bank for years until he could buy it. Then, „closing the topic” he only said with a smile:
Nothing could be easier! – thought the Genie naively.
There was great disappointment however, when after a lengthy search it turned out that this special book was no longer on sale. The Genie, exhausted, was sitting on the steps of the bookshop when – like in a tale – a kind fairy was going that way, and upon learning the Genie’s big sorrow, only said: ’Never despair, I’ll get that book for you even if I have to give my life for it!’ – And so it happened and the fairy, namely Mr. Ákos Balogh, co-owner of the Libri publishing company soon came merrily with the news that Matyi’s wish can already come true – and together with the huge Ferrari book he also conjured another fantastically exciting Ferrari handbook, full of Ferrari wonders.
The Genie was beaming with happiness as he knew these beautiful books will get into the hands of a real little expert.
Then a few days went past and it turned out that the chamber of secrets was far from empty, and a host of mysterious surprises were awaiting Matyi, of course all of them revolving around Ferrari.
Conspiring with Matyi’s parents, we lured the little lad in front the Budapest Ferrari dealership. The boy arrived with his father, and seeing the Ferrari logo over the entrance and the two kind, smiling people in front of it, he already suspected that a real surprise was waiting for him inside.
Mr. Alessandro Lippi and Ms. Zsuzsa Kis, representatives of Ferrari Budapest welcomed the boy with so much love that all his anxiety evaporated, and stepping inside he immediately made his way towards a „modest”, fiery-red Ferrari like he was there every day. Inspecting and stroking the car he hardly believed his ears when he was told he can sit in. The true wonder came next however, when he was allowed to start the engine – certainly with the help of a kind salesman. Oh my, what a sound it had! We all felt like we were standing next to a Formula-1 racetrack.
/ 6
Matyi got out of the car with a little bit of pain in his heart, but soon found out that countless other wonders were waiting for him – in the workshop he already inspected the car laid out there like a serious expert, looking at its insides and the engine bay, but he had the chance to see many more dream cars... and the list of surprises still didn’t end: from the kindness of Zsuzsa and Alessandro he had the honor to be the first one to sit in the streamlined Ferrari that will take part on the races to be organized on Hungaroring in the summer of 2015 – and Matyi, as guest of honor will be able to see again the supercar whose seat he already warmed up.
When little Matyi already thought that he will unable to take in this much experience for a day, Alessandro picked the boy up laughing, stood him on the desk and together with Zsuzsa, presented him with all the gifts from the Genie: obviously starting with the requested big Ferrari book along with the small handheld „bible”, then a list of extra gifts: a real „adult” book for the brand in Italian (will be useful to start learning the language!), Ferrari pencils and diary, T-shirt, a huge poster with a moving personal message from Alessandro – and leaving the gift kindest to the boy to the last, a Ferrari 430 model car.
I cannot recall the moment how Matyi came down from the top of the desk, but I do remember that his eyes were glinting with deep gratitude and the promise that it will take some time for him to process all these wonderful experiences. He will surely never forget the reception full of love he was given by the warm-hearted representatives of Ferrari Budapest, Zsuzsa Kis and Alessandro Lippi.
Saying goodbye, I asked Matyi: do all these gifts worth you a kiss? And the answer was simple and explicit: ’Yes, even a thousand!’
Dear little Matyi, the entire team of Csodalámpa is wishing you a speedy and full recovery, and when your piggy bank will contain enough money to buy a real Ferrari, think of us and take us for a spin!

Levente (4 years old, Miskolc)
This is how the family remembers:
Levente is about to turn 5 years old this summer, but haven’t yet had the chance to go the beach – to splash, as he says.
Before departure we told him that we would go to a really fun place where he can splash as much as he wants.
After departure from Miskolc, we were listening to him, “Levi’s gonna splash!”, and once we arrived to the hotel, we almost couldn’t check in for he was so excited.
We got beautiful rooms, we could take them even as a home, but had little time to wander, couldn’t even unpack, because a few minutes after entering the room, Levi was already in his bathing suit.
Then at last we entered the bath, and he could splash! The first jump was followed by another 40. He couldn’t care less about swallowing water; he enjoyed his time all the better. Out the pool, in the pool, over to the paddling pool, down the small slide, and again, and again, and again, running to the part with fountains and tunnels, then to the great slide, slide all the way down, falling, bumping the head, and laughing out loud to finish. He wasn’t thirsty by the evening, that’s for sure!
/ 4
The dinner was a feast, followed by the well-deserved, relaxing night’s sleep ... only until half five, because Mr. Splash rose early and came over to tell us that we cone go splash.
And that’s how five wonderful and unforgettable days passed. Obviously we tried the hotel’s other facilities: the play-house with the slide with tunnel, the trampoline or a nice walk in the park after dinner. The whole family got tired by the end for it was so intense, but we had an inexplicably good time and Levente is still looking at the pictures and videos taken of him splashing into the water.
Thank you to Boboorszag and Csodalampa, for us it was like a miracle.
